The holy month of Ramzan is a time for reflection, generosity, and caring for those in need. At New Castle Welfare Organization, we embrace the spirit of giving by organizing Ramzan Ration Distribution drives in some of the most vulnerable communities of Tharparkar and Karachi.
Reaching the Desert and the City
Every year, our team works tirelessly to ensure that no family goes hungry during Ramzan, whether they live in the deserts of Tharparkar or the urban slums of Karachi.
🏜 Tharparkar: In remote villages where poverty and food scarcity are severe, we deliver essential food packages directly to families — many of whom fast daily without reliable access to food for Iftar or Suhoor.
🏙 Karachi: We target urban poor neighborhoods, daily wage workers, widows, and displaced families, providing them with ration bags to ease the burden of Ramzan expenses.
What’s in a Ration Bag?
Each ration pack is thoughtfully prepared to cover a family’s basic nutritional needs for the month, including:
- Wheat flour
- Rice
- Lentils (Daal)
- Cooking oil
- Sugar
- Tea
- Dates
- Salt and spices
- Optional items may include: powdered milk, chickpeas, and basic hygiene items.
